Hello New Moon
Hello New Moon x
Hello friends. I'm back online after a few months of taking a winter break from most social media and just creating in general.
I felt a deep call to rest and lay low for a while as I traveled over the winter. A big part of this time for me has been integrating what it means to be a human and how to have a balanced relationship with work, creative practice, social media, and the internet. I literally just got so fed up with how my nervous system was responding to this wild social experiment of online engagement that has been created by and given to us. So much of it for me is realizing when it stops becoming a tool and starts becoming a way of disengaging from reality.
My goal with MHG is to have a creative project connected to a community of peers, artists, herbalists, and makers to share my work while also having good boundaries around my time, energy, and privacy. I'm excited to explore this topic in further discussion because I know it is one that many of us creative open hearted and sensitive souls struggle with!
I'm back in Austin now and feeling the gentle beginnings of spring. Tonight is feeling subtly magical with the New Moon in Pisces so I felt called to share some of my tools and inspirations for this season. (My birth season ya'll!)

I've been loving my Dead Betty earrings. Adornments are sacred vessels for self expression. These have become my favorite earrings for feeling like a magical creative boss babe.

Wild Origins x Under Aurora created this oil and I'm absolutely bananas for it. It is unlike any oil blend I've ever smelled. I think the combination of Damiana, Rosemary, Jasmine, Hinoki, Cardamom, and Ginger is absolutely magical for heavier constitutions such as mine (hello Pisces, hello Kapha.)

I was so pleased when Maribeth released this beautifully designed deck containing 88 healing prompts, phrases, questions, and ideas for connection.I love pulling a card when I get the feeling. I'll place it on my bathroom mirror and find so much encouragement from this ritual.
My intentions for this New Moon:
Don't be afraid to be messy
Call your friends
Give your house plants some TLC
Stretch your shoulders
Surround yourself with soft things
Be forward with what you need, especially money when it comes to your time and talents
Practice active listening
Believe that magic still exists, even when you don't feel it
